DLA Piper appoints Paula González de Castejón as head of IPT
Effective May 1, 2025, Paula González de Castejón, Partner and Head of Life Sciences, will become the new Head of Intellectual Property and Technology (IPT) in Spain at DLA Piper. She will succeed Diego Ramos (pictured right), who will continue as a partner.
González de Castejón joined DLA Piper in 2006 and was promoted to partner in 2015. With over 20 years of experience, she has worked with leading national and international companies in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, online gaming, technology, telecommunications, and media sectors. She also has experience in regulatory advice, review and negotiation of contracts for clinical trials, studies and clinical research. He advises companies on contract law, particularly in the negotiation and drafting of agency and distribution agreements, and performs data protection audits, drafting of security documents and implementation of international data protection and privacy policies.
She is recognized as one of the top 100 leading women in the legal sector and is a key advocate for equality and diversity within the firm. Since 2014, she has led LAW (Leadership Alliance for Women) in Spain, driving initiatives to promote gender balance. Under her leadership, DLA Piper has been recognized as one of Spain’s Top 100 Best Companies to Work For by Actualidad Económica.
