Dentons advises ING Bank on the financing of the Eólica Cascante wind farm in Spain
Dentons has advised ING Bank on the financing of the Eólica Cascante project, a 51.2 MW onshore wind farm located in Navarra, Spain. The project is developed by Exus Management Renewables, a portfolio company of Partners Group, as the sponsor.
The Eólica Cascante project marks a milestone in Spain’s renewable energy sector, incorporating significant technological advancements. Designed with a capacity of 51 MW across eight wind turbines, it integrates state-of-the-art V162 wind turbines, reinforcing the project’s innovative character in the wind energy sector.
The financing was structured as a multi-tranche senior secured facility provided by ING Bank N.V.
This financing transaction required Dentons’ expertise in Spanish law, as well as the coordination of cross-border legal documentation, ensuring full compliance with industry and financial standards.
The firm´s team was led by Finance partner Luis Belart and Energy partner Fermín Garbayo, with the collaboration of associates Miguel del Río, Carlota Sepó, Manuel Lamela, Pablo Galera, and Nora Pallaruelo.
