Macedo Vitorino launches its U.S. Desk
Macedo Vitorino has announced the launch of its U.S. desk, as more American corporations, entrepreneurs, and private investors look to invest in Portugal and in Europe. The new service line will provide legal support to American businesses, research and scientific institutions and individuals interested in investing in Portugal, states the firm. Areas of expertise specifically designed for US clients include corporate, tax, employment, IP, technology and artificial intelligence, as well as in the ESG and space.
The new practice are will be led by Guilherme Dray (pictured), partner at MV since 2018 and also responsible for the labor law team. He has over 20 years of experience in both the public and private sectors. Among other roles, he is a professor of the University of Lisbon, and a former visiting professor at Georgetown University, in Washington D.C.n 2017. Dray has also advised government officials, provided consulting and management services to private companies, and contributed to the fields of administrative modernization in Portugal and other Portuguese-speaking countries such as Brazil, Angola, and Timor-Leste.
