Cuatrecasas opens Peru office

Cuatrecasas has announced the opening of an office in Peru.

The new office in Lima will be led by new recruit Aldo Reggiardo, who was previously a partner at Payet, Rey, Cauvi, Perez Abogados.

Reggiardo, who joins as a partner, specialises in finance and project finance.

In addition, the firm’s Spanish partners Carlos Lasarte and José Moya have moved to Lima to develop the firm’s finance and corporate and M&A practices.

The firm said it expects the Peru office will have a total of 15 lawyers in the “coming months”.

The firm also has a presence in Mexico, Colombia and Brazil.

A Cuatrecasas statement said: “With the opening of an office in Lima, Cuatrecasas aims to improve its advice to the large group of Spanish companies operating in Peru, take advantage of synergies with other offices in the region and be the reference firm for projects in the Andean country.”
