Cuatrecasas instructed on Arisa acquisition

Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira advised Spanish press machine manufacturer Arisa on its acquisition by Nidec Corporation, according to Mergermarket data.

A Nidec statement said the purpose of the deal was to “help one of the company’s subsidiaries, Nidec-Shimpo Corporation, to expand its technological and market reach in the global press machine market”.

Nidec-Shimpo manufactures and sells press machines under the Kyori and Minster brands.

Arisa – which is headquartered in Logroño, in the province of La Rioja in Spain – has 113 employees and reported an annual revenue of €20.4 million in 2014. Nidec said Arisa’s revenue would be around €38 million in 2015.
