CTSU hires new of counsel to reinforce M&A and Capital Markets areas

CTSU, the Deloitte Legal practice in Portugal, has reinforced its M&A and Capital Markets teams with the hiring of Maria Campilho as of counsel

With over 25 years of professional experience, Maria Campilho (pictured) has developed her activity predominantly in the areas of M&A, Corporate Finance, Corporate Governance, Insurance, Banking and Finance and advising on the acquisition and disposal of companies, both domestic and cross-border, either in the context of Privatisations or Private Equity fund investments.

Campilho was a member of the cabinet of the Secretary of State for Finance of the XIX Constitutional Government, providing legal advice on the areas of its competence, among which are the regulation of the financial sector, the supervision of the entities of the State business sector that operate in the financial sector, Privatisations and Concessions. She was also a consultant for the World Bank in the area of Trade and Competitiveness.

Maria holds a degree in Law from Universidade Católica and an LL.M. in Banking and Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She has been a member of the Portuguese Bar Association since 1996.
