Cristina Espín joins Legora as lead legal engineer

Cristina Espín Martí has joined Legora as lead legal engineer for Iberia and LATAM, moving into legal tech after almost 14 years at Spanish IP firm Elzaburu, she announced on LinkedIn.

In her new role, Espín will work with law firms and in-house legal teams on the adoption of artificial intelligence, identifying legal use cases, redesigning workflows and supporting the implementation of Legora’s technology across the Iberian and Latin American markets.

The profile

Espín joined Elzaburu in 2013 and was most recently a senior associate in its Legal & Business department. Her practice covered intellectual and industrial property, technology and data protection, including trademarks, patents, copyright, trade secrets, technology transfer, contractual matters and IP litigation.Alongside her legal practice, she has been active in the international IP community and in 2026 became Vice-Chair for Europe of the LESI Young Members Congress. She has also lectured and spoken on intellectual property, new technologies and innovation at universities and professional forums.

The appointment comes as Legora continues its expansion in Spain and the wider legal AI market, following the launch of its Madrid operations earlier this year. click here to read more
