Cremades & Calvo Sotelo recruits Juan Saavedra as a partner

Cremades & Calvo Sotelo have recruited Juan Saavedra, the former president of the criminal chamber of Spain’s Supreme Court, as a partner.

He will join the criminal and civil law department at the firm.

Saavedra was president of the criminal chamber of Spain’s Supreme Court from 2005 to 2014.

He was appointed a magistrate in 1981. Five years later he became president of the Provincial Court of Vitoria, a position he held for 14 years.
