CIIAM strengthens governing body with three new appointments
The Centro Internacional e Iberoamericano de Arbitraje of Madrid (CIIAM) has appointed José Astigarraga, Andrea Orta and Eugenio Ribón to its plenary.
The appointments reinforce the institution’s governance body, which is responsible for overseeing strategy, internal rules and key appointments. The Plenary is composed of 16 members from different jurisdictions, including arbitrators, practitioners, in-house counsel and academics.
New members
CIIAM has also approved new members across several core committees, including those for arbitrator appointments, challenges, award scrutiny and best practices.
The changes come as part of an ongoing renewal of the institution’s structure, following the end of the mandate of several outgoing members.
