Cases & Lacambra boosts its Tax practice in Madrid

Cases & Lacambra appoints Jorge del Castillo, who joins from Toda & Nel-lo, as a new partner to boost its Tax practice in Madrid

With this addition, the firm continues to apply its growth strategy in this important area.

Jorge del Castillo (pictured left) holds a degree in Law and Business Administration from Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He completed his studies with a double Master’s Degree in Tax Consultancy and Management from Instituto de Empresa (IE).

With more than ten years of experience as a lawyer, he joins from Toda & Nel-lo although he has worked most of the time at Uría Menéndez, where he specialized in providing Tax advice to national and international companies in the field of Mergers and Acquisitions as well as in Structuring business investments in Latin America through Spain. He also has extensive experience in providing Tax advice to high net worth individuals.

During his time at that firm, he was seconded to Akerman LLP in Miami (USA), where he was involved in multidisciplinary matters as part of the Tax Law team and the international practice group of the US firm.

Currently, Jorge also lectures on Comparative Taxation and business Tax planning at the Universidad Complutense.

Jorge will focus his main activity in the firm on tax advice to companies, especially in the context of transactions and reorganizations, an addition that means “boosting a key practice, continuing to grow and providing the most effective response to the needs of our clients. Thus, the addition of Jorge responds to a clear need of our clients: technical and highly specialized advice”, says Ernesto Lacambra (pictured right), co-managing partner of Cases & Lacambra. “The Firm continues with its strategic commitment to become a benchmark firm in business law, with a strong commitment to being the best in strategic practices, such as Tax,” adds Miguel Cases, co-managing partner of the firm.
