Cannabis company Terra Verde advised by PLMJ on EMMAC deal

PLMJ advised Terra Verde’s private shareholders on the sale of their shares to the EMMAC Group, a multinational operating in the medical cannabis sector.

Terra Verde was the first company in Portugal to obtain a licence for growing, importing and exporting Cannabis Sativa.

The PLMJ team was led by Maria João Ribeiro Mata (pictured) and included Catarina Santinha and Dinis Tracana.

Terra Verde was also advised by UK law firm Taylor Wessing.

Medical cannabis company EMMAC was advised by Portuguese law firm Galhardo Vilão Torres and UK firm Hill Dickinson.
