BDO appoints three new partners in Spain
BDO Auditores has appointed Ana Chaffer, Manuel Vargas and Jesús Segovia as partners in Spain. Chaffer joins the partnership in the Audit practice in Valencia, while Vargas and Segovia become partners in the Advisory practice in Madrid.
The appointments bring BDO’s total number of partners in Spain to 76. The promotions come as BDO continues to expand its Spanish operations. The firm recently integrated BSK Bask Consulting and opened its first office in San Sebastián, adding a team of 13 professionals with annual revenue of €1.2 million.
Three appointments across Audit and Advisory
Ana Chaffer has more than 20 years of experience in audit and financial advisory. She joined BDO in 2012 and currently serves as Audit director in the Valencia region. In recent years, she has also worked in the firm’s technical and methodology team. Before joining BDO, she spent five years at Deloitte and five years at TECUM.
Chaffer holds a degree in Economics from the University of Valencia, a Franco-Spanish double qualification from the IUP Banque-Finance at the University of Nantes, and a master’s degree in Accounting and Auditing from the University of Valencia.
Manuel Vargas has more than 19 years of experience in forensics. He was previously a director in BDO’s Madrid office, having joined the firm in 2011 after four years at EY. He holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Seville and is a member of the Madrid College of Economists.
Jesús Segovia has more than 25 years of experience in audit, consulting, information security risk and cybersecurity. He leads the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) practice within Risk Advisory in Madrid and joined BDO in 2023 from EY. He holds a degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Alcalá and a postgraduate qualification in finance from Central Washington University in Seattle. He also holds the CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) and CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) certifications.
