Bajo & Trallero Abogados founder Miguel Bajo Fernández dies aged 74

Miguel Bajo Fernández, founding partner of the firm Bajo & Trallero Abogados, has died aged 74 after a long illness.

During a professional career spanning 40 years, Bajo specialised in white collar crime and and was considered one of the leading lawyers in his field.

From the 1980s onwards, he represented clients in many significant criminal proceedings including cases involving Banesto, Bankia, the Kio Towers, Rumasa, Ibercorp, Gescartera or Gürtel.

He was also a professor in criminal law and among his students was the current king of Spain, Felipe VI.
