Auren expands internationally via Moore Global
Auren, a Spanish-origin firm providing audit, legal advisory, consulting and corporate services, is reinforcing its international presence by joining a new organisation that will group several professional services companies backed by Waterland Private Equity under the Auren brand. The move also sees Auren join Moore Global, a worldwide network of professional services firms, extending its reach to more than 150 countries across Europe, the Americas, Africa and Asia.
The initiative brings together European firms including Moore Belgium, Moore Kingston Smith (United Kingdom), Moore Ireland, Moore DRV and Moore MKW (Netherlands), Intaria (Germany) and Auren (Spain). All of these firms will operate under the Auren brand, combining each firm’s local strength and market knowledge with a shared strategy, culture and value proposition, states Auren. Each firm will retain its own structure and local leadership, while sharing the Auren name, a common strategic vision and a shared network partner.
Beyond a common name and visual identity, the organisation will operate as an integrated firm with a single strategic vision, shared support structures and close collaboration between professionals across different countries. The platform is intended to support joint projects and investment in innovation, technology and artificial intelligence, as well as shared services, knowledge exchange and support for clients with cross-border needs. The firm is also said to be in discussions and reviewing opportunities in other European markets as it continues to expand.
Scale and structure
The combined organisation will bring together more than 7,000 professionals and aggregate revenue exceeding €1 billion, with services spanning audit, legal and tax advisory, consulting and corporate work, aimed particularly at the middle market. The group plans to roll out international working groups across areas such as audit, transfer pricing, global mobility, international taxation and private equity, given their links to cross-border activity. A second phase is expected to extend this model to further specialisms including digital services, ESG and grants and incentives.
The organisation will also share central structures in finance, business development, human resources and technology, which is intended to support joint business planning, accelerate innovation and offer a more coordinated service to clients.
In Spain, Auren has more than 1,100 employees across 15 offices and expects revenue of close to €150 million by the end of 2027. Auren Group currently operates in six European markets—Belgium, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain and Germany—and is backed by Waterland Private Equity.
Comment from Auren Spain
Mario Alonso, president of Auren Spain, said the project “means much more than sharing a brand: we are building a truly global firm, with a common vision, a shared culture and a fully integrated way of working.” He added that “Auren Spain is significantly expanding its presence by becoming part of an internationally structured organisation and broadening its geographical coverage through its collaboration with Moore Global.”
