Antas da Cunha ECIJA has counselled the investors on the acquisition of two Real Estate projects in Barreiro and Olivais

Antas da Cunha Ecija advised the international partnership headed by Fonciere Azur SA (Swiss-based capital invest group) and Alain Gross, a foreign private investor, on the acquisition of 26 plots of land for the construction and development of the Real Estate project “Barreiro Riverside Park”, as well as the Swiss group Mexto, in the “O’Living” project, their first mass market project in Portugal, to be built in Olivais, consisting of two buildings and a total of 86 flats, with an investment of over €30 million.

Antas da Cunha ECIJA Real Estate and Urban Planning coordinating partner Henrique Moser said on the first project: “Barreiro Riverside Park, designed by the architect Miguel Saraiva’s office, is a Real Estate project with very attractive characteristics, and with a privileged location, which will certainly attract to the south bank of the Tagus a very considerable investment.” Antas da Cunha ECIJA covered Due Diligence of the Real Estate assets, the corporate marketing of the business, the contractual preparation and accompanying investors in the closing of the acquisition of 26 plots of land, located in Barreiro, on the riverfront of the Tagus, which will culminate in the future in the construction of 518 flats, in a development that will have a total construction area of around 69,000m2.

According to Antas da Cunha ECIJA Real Estate and Urban Planning partner João de Moraes Vaz: “O’Living, whose official launch is scheduled for mid-October, is a project aimed at the Portuguese middle class that aims to meet the needs of the national residential market, which currently has a very large deficit in terms of supply. Due to its location – in the eastern part of the city, a few steps away from Parque das Nações – and versatile architecture, we are convinced that demand will be quite high.” Antas da Cunha ECIJA team was responsible for carrying out a Due Diligence and an asset acquisition audit, drawing up the respective contracts and deeds, and monitoring the entire construction process. The agreement established between the Mexto group and Antas da Cunha ECIJA also includes the task of future assistance in the process of marketing and selling the homes that make up the housing complex. Located on Carlos George Street, in the Olivais, the project, also signed by architect Miguel Saraiva, is characterized by its intelligent architecture, the optimization of the areas, the absence of dead spaces or extensive circulation areas, and the large windows in both facades, allowing maximum use of natural light. It foresees typologies from T1 to T3 duplex, with areas between 70 m2 and 180 m2, 5 shops (with areas between 97 m2 and 198 m2), 128 parking spaces and 188 public parking spaces around the two buildings.
