Andersen integrates Martín & Parés in Barcelona
Andersen Iberia has integrated Martín & Parés Abogados, a Barcelona-based litigation boutique, to reinforce its procedural practice and its capacity to advise and defend companies in Catalonia. The move brings Eva López Parés and Víctor J. Martín into the firm as partners in the Litigation department, together with a team of four other professionals experienced in commercial litigation, contractual liability and economic criminal law within highly regulated sectors.
The integration forms part of a growth strategy led by José Vicente Morote, managing partner of Andersen Iberia, aimed at “adding specialized teams that complement the firm’s existing capabilities and allow it to handle more complex matters”, states the firm. Following the move, Andersen’s Barcelona office now totals 42 professionals, of whom 11 are partners.
Morote said the integration of Martín & Parés Abogados “responds to the firm’s intention to keep growing in Barcelona and reinforce its position in one of the Spanish legal market”, adding that the incoming team brings knowledge of the Catalan business sector aligned with the firm’s growth model.
Backgrounds of the incoming partners
Eva López Parés holds a law degree from Universidad Pompeu Fabra, complemented by a postgraduate qualification from the same institution.
