Andersen Iberia exceeds 70 million euros

Andersen Iberia achieved a turnover of 70.5 million euros in 2024, representing an increase of 40.1% over the previous year. In Spain, turnover reached 65.8 million euros, while in Portugal the firm earned 4.7 million euros.

José Vicente Morote, managing partner of Andersen Iberia, says: “We are very satisfied with the results of the 2024 financial year, in which the extraordinary growth experienced by the firm is the result of the improvement in the profile of our clients and the type of matters on which we advise; our progress as an organization, and, above all, the effort and commitment of each and every one of the professionals at Andersen Iberia”.

Turnover by city

By offices, Madrid accounted for 55% of total turnover, followed by Valencia (20.2%), Seville (7.9%), Lisbon (6.6%), Barcelona (5.7%), Malaga (3.9%), and Bilbao (0.7%).

In January, with the landing in Porto and the opening of a new office, the firm set a new milestone. “We have always wanted to open an office there,” explains Morote. During the year, the firm also achieved another of its objectives with the opening of the office in Bilbao.

Cross Selling

Along with revenue growth, the firm saw notable improvements in key business metrics, including profitability, turnover per partner and professional, and cross-selling. In fact, cross-selling reached 22 million euros, representing 31% of total turnover.

Turnover by area

By department, Commercial Law accounted for 25.9% of total turnover, followed by Tax Law (21.4%), Litigation (16.4%) and Public Law (14.1%). These were followed by Culture, Labor, Real Estate, Legaltech and Economic.

“The distribution of revenues by offices and departments shows that we are a very balanced and, therefore, very sustainable firm. The Andersen Iberia project not only has a magnificent present, but also an exciting future,” stressed José Vicente Morote.

Objective: to exceed 90 million by 2025

In addition, the managing partner added that, despite the results obtained last year, “we are not satisfied and we continue to face the future with great ambition; in this sense, for 2025 we have set a growth target of 25%”. Specifically, the goal for 2025 is to exceed 90 million euros.

IA

With regard to artificial intelligence, the firm has three active pilot programs. According to managing partner Morote, the most important thing for them is to understand how these applications work and then find out if it makes sense to apply them in the firm.

Social commitment

Along with the business figures, last year the firm also took new steps in its social and academic commitment by creating with the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) the Andersen UPV Chair in Sustainability and Regulated Markets, and launching, with IE University and Law School, the ESG and Circular Economy Program.
