Alantra hires new legal director

Alantra has hired Patricia Zumalacárregui (pictured) as a new director in its legal department.

Zumalacárregui has a degree in law and business administration from ICADE, and is registered as a practising lawyer in Spain, England and Wales.

She also specialises in M&A transactions, capital markets and restructurings. Among her functions within the spanish investment bank, she will be in charge of supporting global M&A transactions, as well as the digital transformation of the legal area itself.

With more than a decade of experience, Zumalacárregui began his career at Uría Menéndez, where he worked in the M&A and private equity department in Madrid. In 2017, he moved to London to join Barclays Bank initially advising the Iberia investment banking team on various debt capital markets and M&A transactions. During this period, he assisted the bank in its Brexit restructuring.

With this incorporation, Alantra adds its third relevant recruitment in its legal area in recent months, including Xavier Pujol, who joined Alantra a year ago as secretary general and global general counsel, and Ana Montes who joined last march also as a director.
