Addleshaw Goddard appoints María de Orueta and José Carlos Fraga as new partners
Addleshaw Goddard has approved the promotion of María de Orueta and José Carlos Fraga as new partners of the firm in the areas of Investment Funds and Litigation and Arbitration respectively. In addition, Sandra de Andrés and Covadonga Pérez Álvarez have been appointed counsels of the Labor and Tax teams respectively. With these appointments, the Madrid office now has 15 partners, 8 counsels and a staff of more than 70 lawyers.

María de Orueta
María de Orueta specializes in structuring domestic and international investment funds (private equity, venture capital, infrastructure, real estate funds, mezzanine, funds of funds, etc.), secondary transactions, co-investment plans and other transactions related to the private equity sector.
José Carlos Fraga
José Carlos Fraga specializes in litigation, criminal and civil law, as well as national and international arbitration. Throughout his career he has specialized in pre-trial and procedural defense and advice in litigation and arbitration of special complexity and with different jurisdictions involved, highlighting his practice in judicial proceedings related to the banking, energy, real estate and investment funds sectors.
Promotions to counsels
In addition to the promotions approved by Addleshaw Goddard this year, Sandra de Andrés and Covadonga Pérez Álvarez have been appointed as counsels of the Labor and Tax teams, respectively.
Sandra de Andrés advises on all aspects of labor law, in particular corporate reorganizations (collective and individual dismissals, corporate subrogations), labor relations (including the negotiation of senior management contracts) and labor litigation.
Covadonga Pérez Álvarez specializes in tax law and has a proven track record in all types of corporate and individual taxation, including international taxation matters, tax structuring in M&A transactions, tax planning in the context of family offices, structuring of investment funds, as well as tax litigation and proceedings.
