Abreu Advogados partners with JBA in Angola
Abreu Advogados has stablished a new strategic partnership in Angola with JBA Advogados, an Angolan law firm that becomes part of the Abreu International network. The collaboration marks a step in the evolution of the firm’s presence in the local market, combining local knowledge with international scale, states the law firm.
JBA Advogados will now operate as Abreu Advogados’ partner firm in Angola. The Luanda office is led by Abreu Advogados partner João Bravo da Costa, and also includes of counsel Manuela Cunha, who has more than 30 years of experience in the Angolan and Portuguese jurisdictions, together with of counsel António Rafael, senior associates Luís Zau and Lisa Neves, and associates Carla Dunda, Imisi de Almeida and Marcos Silva.
For more than 20 years, Angola has been a strategic market for Abreu Advogados, which has advised national and international clients on complex matters through a multidisciplinary approach. The partnership with JBA Advogados allows this work to continue in a more integrated manner, strengthening the firm’s proximity to clients and expanding its on-the-ground capabilities, states Abreu.
