Garrigues with Nscale’s €695M investment in digital infrastructure
Garrigues has advised Nscale on the expansion of its collaboration with Microsoft and Start Campus in relation to the Sines Data Campus in Portugal. As part of the agreement, Nscale’s additional investments—€230 million in shared infrastructure and €465 million in a second 200MW data centre at the SINES Data Campus—make this one of the most significant AI infrastructure projects in Portugal, according to Garrigues.
The SIN02 facility represents a relevant private investments in digital infrastructure in Portugal, and aims at strengthening the country’s position as a strategic gateway to the European AI and data economy. Headquartered in Europe, Nscale is a global hyperscaler designed for sovereign-grade AI infrastructure, providing compute capacity to the large-scale generative AI market.
