Andersen helps MTIP with Mediktor´s €11m financing round
Andersen in Spain has advised Swiss fund MTIP, specialised in the digital health sector, who led an €11 million financing round for the medical start-up Mediktor
MTIP has announced MTIP Fund II’s fifth investment in Mediktor, an accurate Artificial Intelligence medical assistant for triage and pre-diagnosis. The closure of a $13 million investment round was led by MTIP. Existing investor Alta Life participated in this investment round as well.
Mediktor has developed a medical assistant that is based on Artificial Intelligence (AI). Its technology identifies patient’s symptoms using natural language recognition, allowing the interpretation of more than one symptom at the same time. In the conversation with the medical assistant, the questions require only simple responses and are supported by further explanations and images to create an optimal user experience.
Mediktor operates a B2B model, as the company offers a SaaS white label solution working for insurance companies, hospitals, telemedicine platforms, and pharma companies. With offices in Barcelona and New York, Mediktor plans to expand the use of their AI solution around the USA, Europe, and Latin America.
“This round will allow us to further improve our technology to keep us at forefront of the world, and extend the use to improve access to healthcare worldwide,”,explained co-founder and CEO of Mediktor, Cristian Pascual.
Andersen´s Corporate and M&A department advised MTIP on the financing round with a team led by partner Javier Bustillo (pictured), along with senior associate Silvio Requena, associate Cintia García and lawyer Jorge Flores.
