TELLES announces two new partners

TELLES has promoted Sofia Pamplona, Labour, and Abílio Silva Rodrigues, Tax, to the firm´s partnership

Carlos Lucena, chairman of the Board of TELLES, said: “This promotion represents the collective recognition of the dedication and commitment of Sofia and Abílio, who we are proud to have as partners for their personal and professional qualities.”

Sofia Pamplona (pictured left) joined TELLES in 1999 and was managing associate at the Labour Law department of the Porto office. With more than 20 years of professional experience, Sofia has developed her activity in the Labour Litigation area and she provides daily legal counselling to companies. Throughout the years she has been providing assistance to a large number of business restructuring proceedings, providing legal counsel to those same companies in procedures for collective redundancies, for the extinction of positions and collective lay-offs. Sofia is also the co-coordinator of the Social Responsibility area of TELLES.

Abílio Silva Rodrigues (pictured right) joined TELLES in 2015 as a managing associate of the Tax practice area. His practice is focused on Tax Law and Corporate and M&A transactions at domestic and international levels. Abílio was a guest lecturer at the University of Porto Law School and at the Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave, in Tax Law. Between 2013 and 2015, he was a researcher at the University of Porto Law School.
