DLA Piper has advised the German multinational group TRUMPF on the acquisition of the Basque company Lantek, the latter advised by Cuatrecasas
Germany´s TRUMPF has announced the acquisition of Basque Country-based Lantek, a sheet metal software company that develops processing solutions for machining and manufacturing applications. The acquired company’s sheet metal processing software runs independently from the machine manufacturer. According to TRUMPF, the acquisition supports its customers’ needs across the sheet metal process chain, as well as its smart factory solution portfolio.
Lantek is headquartered in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain. The company is a leading global provider of systems and software solutions for companies in the sheet metal and metal cutting and processing sector, with a presence in 14 countries and employs more than 220 individuals. It will continue to operate under its current name. An integration under the TRUMPF brand is not planned and Lantek continues committed to neutrality and independence from all machine tool builders.
The TRUMPF Group is one of the world’s leading companies in machinery, laser technology and electronics for industrial applications. In the financial year 2019/20, the company – which employs around 14,300 people worldwide – had a turnover of €3.5 billion.
