Ex-Clifford Chance Spain banking head joins Ontier

Clifford Chance’s former head of banking and finance in Spain, Alberto Manzanares, has joined Ontier as counsel.

Manzanares (pictured) worked for Clifford Chance for 18 years before leaving the firm in February this year.

His expertise includes syndicated finance, acquisition finance, project financing (particularly in relation to renewables and infrastructure), and asset finance (especially ships and aircraft).

Pedro Rodero, managing partner of Ontier Spain, said Manzanares would provide extensive technical knowledge that “will benefit us both at a training level and in carrying out more complex operations and transactions”.

Rodero added that, from a business development perspective, Manzanares would “strengthen Ontier’s visibility” in the market due his excellent reputation in the financial sector.
