Pérez-Llorca partners top real estate deal rankings

Four Pérez-Llorca partners have topped a ranking of Spanish lawyers who advised on real estate deals during the last year.

Luis Zurera was ranked first in the list – arranged in order of total deal value – having advised on deals worth €2.1 billion in 2014. His Pérez-Llorca colleagues Javier Fernández (who advised on deals totaling €1.2 billion), Fausto Romero-Miura (€1 billion) and Vicente Estebaranz (€1 billion) were ranked second, third and fourth respectively.

In fifth place in the ranking – which was compiled by Transactional Track Record (TTR) and published in Expansión – was Uría Menéndez partner Diego Armero (who advised on deals totaling €723m). In sixth place was Garrigues’ Lorenzo Clemente (€442m), while Clifford Chance´s Carlos Portocarrero (€362m) was seventh.

In eighth place was Juan Carlos Machuca of Uría Menendez (€355m), Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira´s Javier Caravajal (€350m) was ninth, while Clifford Chance´s Alfonso Benavides (€337m) was placed tenth.
