Cuatrecasas Acelera

7th Edition of Cuatrecasas Acelera

Cuatrecasas Acelera is a startup acceleration program focused on legal challenges that the Firm has been promoting since 2016. This time, it is launching its 7th edition, seeking to consolidate its internationalization process.

The programme is once again focused on boosting the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Spain, Portugal and Latin America, which will provide insight into the current international startup scene.

“Cuatrecasas Acelera is fully aligned with the firm’s strategy, which is why we continue to internationalize the program and focus on Latam and Portugal, in addition to Spain,” says Francesc Muñoz, CIO of Cuatrecasas.

The registration period to participate in the new edition of Cuatrecasas Acelera will be open from 31 May until 10 July. In this opportunity, participating startups will receive legal support from all the Firm’s practice and business areas for four months, as well as access to clients and funding for the development of their projects.

This edition will focus on innovative legaltech solutions and fintech projects operating in niche markets such as crypto, financial distribution, payments and electronic money; healthtech projects related to genomics, drug R&D, diagnostics and health apps; energy that are integrated in the sub-areas of renewable energy, storage and consumption; and B2B insurtech, home, distribution and auto.

In this 7th edition, the Firm’s professionals from different areas of law and business, experts in the jurisdictions and sectors of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Spain, Latin America and Portugal, will join the Cuatrecasas Acelera team of mentors to offer individualized advice tailored to each project.
