Wyndham Hotels appoints new Legal counsel developer for EMEA
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has appointed Spanish lawyer Catia Gelabert Ludvigsen as its Legal counsel developer for EMEA
Catia Gelabert Ludvigsen (pictured), a Spanish lawyer, has been recently appointed in charge of the Legal counsel development of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, a hotel company based in Parsippany, New Jersey, United States. It describes itself as the largest hotel franchisor globally, with 9,280 locations, with a portfolio of 20 hotel brands, including Baymont, Days Inn, Howard Johnson, La Quinta, Ramada, Super 8, Travelodge, and Wyndham.
Catia joins the hotel chain from Selina, another hospitality brand, where she was senior Legal project manager EMEA in charge of RE and Business development. As for her base, she will stay between Madrid and London.
She is a Law graduate from the UIB (Universidad de Baleares) and holds an MBA from EAE Business School. She is described as a “highly motivated legal counsel with a track record working in house for leading companies in the hospitality sector strongly focused on international expansion. Talent for creatively resolving disputes, skilful negotiator and strong business acumen. Enjoy working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and thrive in dynamic business environments.”
She has also worked at the Legal department of other prestigious hotel chains as Meliá Hotels International, where she was working for more than nine years, first as in-house Legal counsel EMEA and later as in-house Legal manager at Melia Hotels International, US & LATAM.
