WTW strengthens the M&A team
WTW Iberia has reinforced its Warranties and Indemnities, Reps and Warranties (R&W) and Due Diligence insurance areas with the incorporation of Luis Covarrubias (pictured centre), Jorge Sebastián de Erice (pictured right) and Rocío Pulido (pictured left). Luis Covarrubias joins as M&A Director with the aim of reinforcing the insurance proposal of W&I (Warranties & Indemnities). This incorporation joins the recent hirings of Jorge Sebastián de Erice, as M&A Director, with responsibility for the Transactional Risks (R&W) area, and Rocío Pulido, as M&A Associate and Due Diligence specialist.
Luis Covarrubias, a commercial lawyer with more than 10 years of experience in Commercial Law and M&A, has developed his career as a legal advisor and external lawyer, including 10 years at Garrigues. He has participated in numerous M&A operations in LATAM, the US and Spain, advising national and multinational companies with private and public capital, including venture capital funds, banks, insurance companies and industrial companies from various sectors.
Jorge Sebastián de Erice comes from EY Abogados and has more than 10 years of experience in Commercial Law and M&A. Previously, he developed his career at Deloitte Legal and KPMG Abogados, and as an in-house lawyer at an investment fund manager. Sebastián de Erice has repeatedly advised national and international entities (both industrial and private equity firms) on mergers and acquisitions (share deal and asset deal), as well as commercial or corporate contracting matters.
Rocío Pulido, prior to her joining WTW, worked for three years in the commercial and financial department of Allen & Overy and later in a family office for 7 years. Pulido is an expert in advising on M&A operations, both for buyers and sellers, from the appropriate way to insure the operational risks of companies, to their costs and the impact of the transaction on the insurance program.
WTW’s M&A department is part of FINEX – Financial Lines – under the leadership of Sergio Muñoz-Rojas, a unit that brings together the different insurance specialties such as D&O, Professional Civil Liability, Cyber and Crime risks.
