Watson Farley & Williams advises Bankia and Bankinter on photovoltaic plants financing

Watson Farley & Williams advised Bankia and Bankinter on the €59 million project financing of three photovoltaic plants in Sevilla.

The Pedroso, Peñaflor and Monclova photovoltaic plants have been developed and constructed by Solarpack Corporación Tecnológica.

The financing was structured through three different contracts, one for each plant with its own terms and conditions, along with a VAT financing. The projects, which were awarded 100 megawatts (mw) during the 2017 energy auction, will have final aggregate capacity of 112 MW.

The Madrid-based WFW team advising Bankia and Bankinter was led by partner Rodrigo Berasategui (pictured) and included senior associate Jacobo Hermidas.
