Ventura Garcés adds César Giner as of counsel

Ventura Garcés has strengthened its Competition area with the incorporation of César Giner as of counsel

Ventura Garcés, which recently opened an office in Madrid together with lawyers Víctor de Cambra and Íñigo Ramilo, has strengthened its Competition area with the arrival of César Giner (pictured) as of counsel.

César joins the firm to support this area and the areas of Unfair Competition, Intellectual Property, Commercial, Insolvency, and Corporate Law.

César Giner is an outstanding lecturer at the Carlos III University of Madrid, where he has been teaching, for more than 20 years, a variety of subjects and Master’s degrees, including the Master’s degree in Business Legal Consultancy and the Specialist degree in Corporate Law and Control of Legal Risks of the Company (MAJE). Previously, César was counsel at Andersen Tax & Legal and General Secretary of the law firm of the Carlos III University of Madrid.

César has combined his professional career as a lecturer with being a writer. Some of his most outstanding works include “El Derecho de la Competencia, Comercio Electrónico y Marcas” (Editorial Tirant Lo Blanch, Valencia, 2014) and “La nueva legislación española ante la evolución del Derecho de la Competencia” (Editorial Marcial Pons, Madrid, 2010 – co-authored with Luis Berenguer Fuster and Antonio Robles Martín-Laborda).
Ventura Garcés thus strengthens his team of Competition experts, taking into account the increase in cases related to economic practices used to gain an unfair advantage over competitors, such as cartels or abuses of dominant position.
