VdA celebrates alliance with Spanish-Portuguese Chamber

Vieira de Almeida (VdA) is strengthening its operations in Spain through a strategic partnership with the Spanish-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CHP,) of which it has become a member. The collaboration’s goal is to actively promote and monitor Spanish investment in Portugal and viceversa, with a focus on knowledge sharing, fostering institutional relationships, and identifying new business opportunities.

VdA has a solid track record in the Portuguese market and has been providing legal services in Portugal
in the context of investment from the Spanish market given its economic, geographical and cultural
affinity with Portugal. “This reinforcement of our institutional presence in Spain represents a clear commitment to creating solid bridges between the two economic markets, and to bringing the two countries closer together,” says Fernando Resina da Silva (pictured), VdA partner and head of office in Spain.

The partnership aims to promote joint actions with the CHP, including investor-focused events,
knowledge-sharing, training and networking initiatives. Founded in 1971 by a group of Spanish and Portuguese businessmen, the CHP is an organisation whose aim is to support companies with interests in the Iberian Peninsula. The CHP’s objectives include fostering economic, commercial, cultural and social relations between Spain and Portugal, defending the interests of partner institutions, companies and individuals, stimulating cultural, tourist and social ties of friendship, and developing links between Spain, Portugal and third countries.

“We are honoured to welcome Vieira de Almeida (VdA) as a new member of the Spanish-Portuguese
Chamber of Commerce. Having such a highly regarded Portuguese law firm, recognised for its excellence, innovation, and in-depth knowledge of the Iberian environment, will help us to strengthen economic and business ties between Spain and Portugal. We are convinced that this collaboration will enable us to foster new synergies and further strengthen bilateral cooperation”, António Calçada de Sá, chairman of the CHP.
