Vaciero names two Audit partners

Vaciero has named Carmen Fernández and Diego Méndez-Laiz new Audit partners

The new partners have more than 15 years of experience in economic and financial Auditing of national and international companies, non-profit entities and public corporations. For Francisco Vaciero, president of Vaciero, “these appointments are a recognition to the enormous work developed by Carmen and Diego during these years and to their involvement with the firm. They are a good example of determination and rigour in their professional performance.”

According to the firm, with the appointment of Carmen Fernández and Diego Méndez-Laiz, Vaciero continues its growth process in a year in which it celebrates its 25th anniversary, after having closed the last financial year 2019 with a turnover of more than €6 million, 25% more than the previous year.

Carmen Fernández (pictured left) started her professional career in Vaciero in 2001. She has a degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Oviedo and an Advanced Course in Accounting and Auditing from the Economists Association of Asturias. She is an official Account Auditor. Carmen has 15 years of experience in advising foundations and non-profit organizations as an auditor, as well as in the control of subsidies and in audits of concessionary companies.

Diego Méndez-Laiz (pictured right), who joins Vaciero from Centium Auditores, where he was a Audit manager, has more than 15 years of experience in advising companies on auditing their annual accounts, as well as all kinds of work related to accounting and auditing. Diego has also worked for more than 13 years in Moore Stephens Fidelitas Auditores, where he was an Audit partner. He has a degree in Economics from the University of Oviedo and a Master’s degree in Tax Advice from the Association of Economists of Asturias. Diego is also a registered official Auditor.
