Uría Menéndez´s Lisbon office recruits Brito Pereira from PLMJ

Uría Menéndez – Proença de Carvalho has recruited M&A and capital markets partner Jorge Brito Pereira from rival Lisbon firm PLMJ.

Brito Pereira, who also has expertise in the areas of banking and finance and privatisations, spent 25 years at PLMJ, where he has been a partner since 1999.

Brito Pereira remains at PLMJ for the time being, but will officially join Uría Menéndez – Proença de Carvalho next month.

Recent highlights for Brito Pereira included leading the PLMJ team advising Santoro, a major shareholder in Banco BPI, in relation to CaixaBank’s bid to acquire the outstanding shares in Banco BPI earlier this year.
