Uría Menéndez appoints Mario Barros as new director of the Labor Law Group

He replaces Ignacio García-Perrote, who has headed the department since 1999, after his election as magistrate of the Social Chamber of the Supreme Court

Barros joined Uría Menéndez in 1996 and has been a partner in the firm since 2008. He has extensive experience in all kinds of labour matters, advising Spanish and foreign companies in the drafting and termination of employment contracts, especially senior management contracts, as well as in relation to labour issues arising in the acquisition, merger and restructuring of companies, and in outsourcing processes. He has also taken part in numerous cases involving the regulation of employment and collective bargaining.

For Salvador Sánchez-Terán, managing partner of the firm, “the appointment of Mario Barros, an excellent professional, will mean maintaining the level of prestige and quality of Uría Menéndez’s Employment Area. We sincerely thank Ignacio García-Perrote for his indelible contribution to the firm over so many years and wish him every success in the Supreme Court”.
