Uría Menéndez appoints Irantzu Irastorza as new director of the Bilbao office
The firm Uría Menéndez has appointed Irantzu Irastorza as the new managing partner of the Bilbao office.
She specialises in commercial, corporate and financial law, and has participated in numerous transactions involving the sale and purchase of companies, corporate restructuring and financing. She also has extensive experience in banking regulatory matters.
She has held this position since january 2023. Irantzu joined the firm in 1999. Her first stage lasted until 2009, when she started working with BBK and later with Kutxabank, where she held the position of Deputy Director General of Legal Advice and Chairman’s Office. In 2003 she worked at the US firm Debevoise & Plimpton (New York) as an associate lawyer. She rejoined Uría Menéndez in 2019 as partner in charge of the Bilbao office’s corporate department.
