Uría appoints new counsel for the public law area

Uría Menéndez has appointed Roberto Fernández Castilla(pictured) as counsel to strengthen its Public Law, Litigation and Arbitration practice.

Fernández Castilla holds a law degree from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and has been a state lawyer since 2014. He has developed his professional career in public administration, both in the Ministry of Justice (in the field of international arbitration in the State Attorney General’s Office in relation to arbitrations brought against the Kingdom of Spain in the field of renewable energies) and in the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, acting as Chief State Lawyer for the Secretary of State for Energy.

“It is an honour to return to Uría Menéndez, where I started my professional career as a recent graduate, to bring the experience I have gained during my time at the State Attorney’s Office,” said the new counsel.
