Uría and Perez-Llorca in the merger of Unicaja with Santa Lucía
Uría Menéndez has advised Unicaja Banco on the sale of Liberbank’s insurance business to the spanish insurance company, Santa Lucía. By this deal, the insurer acquires 50% plus one share of CCM Vida y Pensiones de Seguros y Reaseguros, and of Liberbank Vida y Pensiones, Seguros y Reaseguros.
The consideration to be received by Unicaja Banco Group as a result of the agreement reached with Santa Lucía amounts to EUR 358 million.
As a result of this deal, Unicaja Banco extends its alliance with Santa Lucía in life insurance, savings, accidents and pension plans.
