PSG Equity acquires Emotion Mobility: advisors
Uría Menéndez has advised Ibérica Partners on the sale of the entire share capital of Emotion Mobility to PSG Equity, which was advised by Cuatrecasas. Uría Menéndez has coordinated legal advice for Ibérica Partners in Portugal, the Netherlands, India and the United Arab Emirates. The deal also included a partial reinvestment (roll-over) by the two Co-CEOs of Emotion Mobility, reinforcing strategic alignment with the new investor.
This transaction will enable Emotion to develop technologically, expand into international markets across Europe, the Americas, and Asia, and strengthen its position through strategic mergers and acquisitions, states Cuatrecasas.
Emotion has developed cloud storage software (SaaS) for digital mobility management companies, such as rental services, subscription services, operational leasing, chauffeur transportation, or courtesy services in more than 90 countries. Headquartered in Lisbon, it serves clients such as Avis, Enterprise, Hertz, Sixt, and Volkswagen. Emotion’s software supports the management of a global fleet of approximately 1,000,000 vehicles.
PSG Equity is a growth capital firm focused on software and technology service companies. Its goal is to drive transformational growth in these businesses, identify strategic capitalization opportunities, and build strong teams. PSG Equity has supported over 150 companies and facilitated more than 520 acquisitions.
