Tornos Abogados welcomes Ana Maresca as Academic Advisor

Tornos Abogados has announced the appointment of Ana Maresca Lasa as its new Academic Advisor, further solidifying its commitment to excellence in administrative law. The firm, led by Joaquín Tornos Mas, continues its growth path this year.

Maresca, who holds a Law Degree and a PhD in Law from the University of Barcelona, began her career at Bufete Maresca, where she spent 15 years as a lawyer and partner, specializing in various aspects of administrative law, including public procurement, public services, liability, and urban planning

Her expertise deepened during her tenure at Grupo Agbar, one of the world’s leading water services groups. Over 11 years, she served as Legal Director of Aigües de Barcelona and later as Director of Regulation and Governance at Grupo Agbar-Suez until the end of 2022. Here, she developed specialized knowledge in water law, public-private partnerships, and concessions.

Ana Maresca has balanced her legal career with an active role in academia. Since 2011, she has been a Professor of Administrative Law in Esade’s Master in Legal Practice and Access to the Legal Profession program. She has also taught and coordinated courses on administrative law at the Institute of Law and Economics (ISDE) since 2009.

Her teaching experience extends to the Master of Business Law at the University of Barcelona and the Universitat Abat Oliba CEU, where she lectured on administrative law from 1996 to 2010.

Maresca has also held prominent roles in professional organizations, including Director of the Training Center at CCIES since 2024, and President of ASAC (2021–2023), among others. She also served on the board of Aigües de Sabadell (2020–2023).

As a prolific author on administrative law, her contributions have established her as a leading authority, further enhancing Tornos Abogados’ standing with her appointment as Academic Advisor.
