Three partners leave CMS, and another will change his status in the firm

Javier Leyva Olarte, Rafael Sánchez Jiménez and Juan José Zabala have already left the firm, and Abraham Nájera has asked to leave the partnership although he will keep being somehow a firm´s collaborator

According to CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo, these changes are due to the 2020-3030 strategic plan that, among other things, contemplates the resizing of certain practice areas and consequently of the partnership. Following the same statement from the law firm “the departure of these partners is the result of mutual agreement between the firm and the outgoing partners, to whom we sincerely thank for their dedication to the firm in recent years while wishing them the best in their new professional stages.”

These three partners who have already left the firm are Commercial partners Javier Leyva Olarte and Rafael Sánchez Jiménez and Public Law partner, Juan José Zabala. On the other hand, Banking & Finance partner, Abraham Nájera has asked to leave the partnership for personal reasons, although he will continue to collaborate with the firm, but it has not yet been defined how.

As Iberian Lawyer published in April, six junior lawyers and two secretaries were also dismissed from the firm while the contracts of 3 trainees, who will return to the firm this Autumn, were suspended.
