The ICAM Cortina Foundation New Support Program for Orphans
The Madrid Bar Association, through the ICAM Cortina Foundation, has initiated a new support program for the orphans of Madrid’s legal professionals. This program, with an initial funding of €120,000, includes four types of aid. Made possible by a donation from the now-defunct Institution for the Protection of Orphans of the Bar (IPHA), the initiative aims to support the academic, personal, and professional development of the orphans of ICAM members, preserving the legacy of the IPHA.
This initiative offers aid for sociocultural activities, higher education, self-employment start-ups, and medical treatments, aiming to support the academic, personal, and professional development of orphans. It also provides financial assistance for medical treatments not covered by insurance.
Ana Buitrago, Vice President of the ICAM Cortina Foundation, highlights the program’s role in honoring the legacy of the IPHA and addressing previously unmet needs within the legal community and states ” This program not only honors the memory of the parents who made it possible but also extends our reach to cover essential needs like psychological treatments previously not addressed by our programs.”
