TELLES advises on the sale of SLM to Meivcore
TELLES has advised the shareholders of SLM – Sociedade Lisbonense de Metalização, on the sale of all its shares to Meivcore.
SLM – Sociedade Lisbonense de Metalização has been in the surface protection and recovery sector for more than 75 years and is a major player in the market for surface treatment of metal, concrete, stone, masonry and wood. In recent years, it has provided services for the recovery, rehabilitation and restoration of built heritage in its various forms. It was awarded by the IAPMEI as a PME Leader 2022.
Meivcore operates in the field of industrial maintenance, employs more than 660 people and offers the most advanced solutions in the sector. Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Viseu, Portugal, it also operates in Spain, France, Belgium, Italy, Germany and Sweden.
For SLM, this transaction “represents a significant milestone” and “positions SLM to capitalize on new perspectives and innovative strategies, promoting not only growth, but also a stronger and more resilient business.”
In this transaction, the multidisciplinary team of TELLES was coordinated by Miguel Torres, managing partner of the firm and tax coordinating partner, José Maria Braga da Cruz, senior associate of corporate, transactional and private equity. Maria José Aires Pereira and Leonor Dias do Carmo, associates of the tax and corporate, transactional and private equity areas, also participated in this operation.
