SRS Advogados has advised Oceano Fresco on its €6.1million series B financing round

SRS Advogados has advised Oceano Fresco on its €6.1million series B financing round, led by Aqua-Spark and Semapa Next.

Oceano Fresco is a Portuguese scale-up active in the bivalve aquaculture (shellfish farming). It is a sustainable seafood company using innovative aquaculture techniques to grow high-quality bivalve species. They supply customers in Spain and Portugal and soon will expand to other European markets. The company has been funded by its founders, by public grants, and by venture capital investors who share their vision of a true ‘Blue Economy’ for Europe and the World.

Aqua-Spark is a leading Dutch VC focusing on the blue economy investment. They are a global investment fund based in Utrecht, that is developing this optimal aquaculture food system by investing in companies all along the aquaculture value chain working to solve industry challenges, with a shared vision of a sustainable future.

Semapa Next is a Portuguese corporate venture capital firm that invests in teams of founders from Series A to late-stage funding.
