Squire Patton Boggs advises Indra on NATS JV
Squire Patton Boggs has advised Indra on the establishment of Iqonair, a newly formed joint venture with NATS, the British air traffic control services provider, focused on developing technology solutions to improve the efficiency and operational capacity of airport control towers.
Deal details
Indra holds a 51% stake in Igonair, which will be headquartered in Spain. The venture combines Indra’s expertise in air traffic management (ATM) systems with NATS’s operational experience at some of the world’s most complex airports, including Heathrow and Gatwick. The new company aims to develop advanced digital automation tools designed to optimise air traffic management at high-complexity, high-congestion airports.
Through Iqonair, both companies are already evaluating business opportunities in international markets, including Spain, the United Kingdom, the Middle East, the United States, and Asia, against a backdrop of growing demand for advanced air traffic management solutions.
The Squire Patton Boggs team advising Indra was led by partner Rocío García, supported by senior associate Luis Gutiérrez and associate Elena Ferrer, all from the Corporate and M&A practice.
