Simmons & Simmons promotes new of counsel
Simmons & Simmons Spain has promoted Santiago Castelló as new of counsel in Simmons & Simmons Madrid’s dispute resolution team.
Santiago has more than 15 years acting as a litigator, with expertise in all type of proceedings (particularly corporate and civil litigation proceedings and arbitration). He is also well experienced in corporate and commercial advice as well as in M&A transactions.
He joined Simmons & Simmons in March 2007 as the result of the merger with Mochales & Palacios, where he was working as a lawyer since December 1998.
Santiago expertise is on providing advice to corporate in all litigation matter, also he is experienced in corporate restructuring, insolvency and all types of corporate litigation proceedings and arbitration, M&A transactions and private equity transactions. As member of Information, Communications and Technology (ICT) group in Madrid, Santiago has completed secondments at Amadeus IT and Dell Inc.
He qualified as a lawyer in 1997 and was admitted to the Madrid Bar Association in 1998. He has a Master degree in Business Law (MAJ) from the Instituto de Empresa (1998) and a degree in Law & Business from the University of Alcalá de Henares, CEU (1997). He is fluent in English and Spanish.
