Technology investment
The results also reflect continued investment in technology and artificial intelligence. The firm has also continued developing client-focused autonomous AI agents, including an NDA review and management solution created in collaboration with Flank.
The firm further strengthened its partnership during the year, hiring 37 lateral partners across 14 offices and promoting nine lawyers to partner across seven offices. Women represented 56% of the internal partner promotions, exceeding the firm’s diversity target for 2026.
Commenting on the results, Eduardo Peñacoba, managing partner of Simmons & Simmons Spain, highlighted the strong contribution of the Spanish office and its above-average growth performance within the global network.
Globally, the firm is entering a new five-year strategic cycle focused on expanding its international platform, deepening sector specialisation and accelerating the integration of artificial intelligence into legal service delivery.
