Sérvulo on the transfer of the Cascais Hospital to the Ribera Salud Group

Sérvulo has advised the Lusíadas Saúde Group, a firm in the health sector in Portugal, in the operation of transferring the hospital facilities of the Cascais Hospital, under a public-private partnership, to the new private entity managing the hospital, Galo Saúde Parcerias Cascais, owned by the Ribera Salud Group.

The acquisition of the Lusíadas Saúde Group from Amil International, a subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group, by the french group Vivalto Santé, one of the largest private healthcare players in Europe, which had also previously acquired the Ribera Salud Group, was completed in December 2022.

The team from Sérvulo advising on this deal was formed by Francisca Mendes da Costa (pictured right), together with Mark Kirkby (pictured left), partners in the Public Law department; Ana Rita Paínho (pictured below right), partner in charge of the Life Sciences, Intellectual Property and TMT departments, and Rita Canas da Silva (pictured below left), partner in charge of the Labour department.
