Sérvulo launches space law area
Sérvulo has launched a new space law area, led by Ana Rita Paínho, to respond to the evolution of the technological market and the needs of clients in advising on regulatory, commercial and intellectual property issues associated with this sector.
Sérvulo has been acting with emphasis in the area of technological and space development, through a transversal and multidisciplinary legal assistance, intertwining matters ranging from the regulatory dynamics of access to the activity, licensing and relationship with the Regulator, as well as in the negotiation of the associated business structures, including in terms of public and private financing and also in the defense of Intellectual Property rights inherent in software programs and other associated technological resources.
“Sérvulo has already a significant client portfolio, having participated in several innovative projects in the national and international space sector, both public and private, supporting clients in their development, implementation and licensing” says Ana Rita Paínho, coordinating partner of the new area. “This sector is pioneering and highly dynamic, and despite the obvious and complex regulatory component, we always work with the aim of achieving innovative and client-oriented legal solutions.”
The firm team of lawyers with experience in supporting various players involved in the space industry, such as companies developing and launching telecommunications satellites, products with space applications and manufacturers of space modules, as well as a wide range of other players and industries that gravitate around the development of the space industry, with particular emphasis on regulatory advice.
