Revenue increasing at most large firms in Spain

Eight of the ten biggest law firms in Spain increased their revenue in 2013, according to new data.

 

The only two of the top ten firms to experience decreases in revenue in 2013 were Spain´s biggest firm Garrigues, which reported a 2.8 per cent drop to €307m – down from €315.9m in 2012 – and Gómez-Acebo & Pombo, which posted a 4.1 per cent decrease, down from €56.1m to €53.8m.

The figures – published by Expansión – showed that Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira´s revenue increased by 0.4 per cent in 2013, up from €197.5m to €198.2m. Meanwhile, Uría Menéndez posted a 3.3 per cent increase in revenue, which grew from €155.4m to €160.5m.

Of the ten biggest firms, PwC Tax & Legal Services and EY Abogados posted the largest increases in revenue in the last year. PwC´s revenue jumped 8.8 per cent to €139.5m, while EY Abogados´ revenue also increased 8.8 per cent to €74m.

Baker & McKenzie posted a 6.4 per cent increase in revenue, which grew to €55.2m, while Deloitte Abogados´ revenue increased 6.1 per cent.
